Smokes from the Lilac Fire can be seen in San Diego County in California on December 7, 2017. Fanned by strong winds, the wildfire has already charred 500 acres west of southbound Interstate 15 and south of State Route 76 in San Diego County, where it started Thursday afternoon. The fire has destroyed at least 5 structures and is threatening 1,000 others, according to fire officials. Interstate 15 has been evacuated and four evacuation centers have been set up at Fallbrook High School. Fire fighters are already battling two massive fires, including an 11,000 acre fire in the Sylmar and Sunland-Tujunga areas and the Thomas fire, which has burned 65,000 acres in the towns of Ventura, Santa Paula and Ojai.
